But the stories told about this creature, this demon, were always bad. He was a murderer, a killer of children, a thing of fear and death. At least, that was what the humans said. The stories of course, filtered themselves into the animal world. But Demetri had left his home long ago, after the death of his mate, and the loss of his child. Those stories, every one told was about him. But the truth was, he hated them. And he ran. Up north, in the blistering cold, he tried to live. But when destiny calls the demon to save the life of a strange fox, he's thrown into a tale that puts him in the seat of hero. |
